(hesitation between 2k and 4k, runs fine sometimes,ect.)and tested a few things, then ran compression test finding all cylinders were nearing min tolerance (pretty much 130 all around)with the exception of cyl 5 and 6 which were both at about 103psi. The owner bought an IPP motor and swapped it himself and issue was resolved but god knows what else it coulda been and was unknowingly fixed during motor swap. Compression test is always a good test following spark and fuel, just for piece of mind. BUT... if you have never experienced this problem before the ecu chip, I would think it would have to be the source. unless something else has randomly went bad at the exact same time as ecu install, which one would think to be unlikely.
